SAFETY GUARDS

All the chain drives, fan blades, couplings, exposed shafts and other moving or rotating parts shall be covered on all sides with safety guards conforming to all relevant state, and local codes and regulations; conforming to the most restrictive requirements. Safety guards shall be free of all sharp edges and corners. Corrosion-resistant materials at least equivalent to hot-dip galvanized steel shall be used. Safety guards shall be fabricated from 16 USS gage, or heavier, galvanized or aluminium clad steel or 12mm mesh galvanized expanded metal. Guards shall be designed for easy installation and removal. Necessary supports, accessories, and fasteners shall be provided of hot-dip galvanized steel or stainless steel. Guards in outdoor locations shall be designed to prevent entrance of rain and dripping water.
